Beau Stackhouse

Vice President of Operations Project Manager

Bio

Beau has been in the construction industry for 17 years. He got his start as an Ironworker in 2005, erecting pre-engineered metal buildings and installing architectural sheet metal. He quickly advanced his career and, in 2010, became a Superintendent for a reputable company here in Eastern Oregon to aid in starting a Pre-Engineered Metal Building Division. While working as a Superintendent, Beau traveled all over the country building PEMB natural gas compressor stations. While working with some of the largest gas companies in the nation, Beau acquired many skills that aided him in delivering a project on time and under budget. In 2015 Beau started his apprenticeship for the International Association of Ironworkers. With his experience, he was placed in an advanced apprenticeship program and became a Journeyman Ironworker in less than a year. During his time in the union, Beau worked on several multimillion-dollar projects as a Foreman and Superintendent. During this time, Beau honed his skills by working with many different architects and clients. Over the course of his career, Beau has shown an aptitude for being able to work in all sorts of different work environments and with all sorts of personalities. He is extremely organized and has a positive attitude which aids him in his role as a Project Manager for McCormack construction.

Beau is a family man, married to his high school sweetheart since 2008, father to two beautiful daughters, and has had the pleasure of being able to be immensely involved in many of their activities. Whether it be coaching, fundraising, or building dance props for his daughter’s state-champion high school dance team, he loves to be an involved father. Beau also volunteers his time as a board member of the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce and is an advocate for underprivileged youth and foster care children in his community.

At McCormack Construction, Beau is responsible for projects from their conception to close out. He works closely with owners and design teams early in the process, helping with design development and budgeting at several design milestones. Once the design is complete, he estimates and solicits bids to sub-contractors to meet owners’ budgets and value engineers when projects are over budget. After bids are finalized, he will write subcontracts and help with job start-ups.  When projects start construction, Beau is responsible for holding McCormack superintendents and project engineers accountable for maintaining project schedules and budgets.
