Business Development
Project Manager
Bio
Joseph grew up in Pendleton, graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Oregon University then joined a very large General Contractor from Portland and Seattle as a Project Superintendent. For that company, he was able to come home to Pendleton to be the Superintendent for the Additions/Renovation of Pendleton High School in the 90s. Over the years, he was able to work his way up to Project Executive and then Vice-President of the large GC in Portland and Seattle, having an office in both cities. During those years, Joseph was able to lead the development of projects like the Seattle Justice Center, Seattle City Hall, Experience Music Project, Seattle Central Library, Jane Sanders Stadium at UO, and UW Surgery Pavilion. He came home to join Tyson at McCormack in April of 2017 and has loved being home and helping McCormack grow! Outside of work, Joseph is vice-president of the City of Pendleton Planning Commission, serving since 2017, and is President of Round-Up City Development Corporation, helping Pendleton grow!

Joseph's primary responsibilities at McCormack Construction are to develop Business Development efforts to find and develop public procurement opportunities for projects in our Region. Work with potential clients to develop project delivery methods that are right for their specific needs, then follow through to ensure they are 100% taken care of. Develop Request for Proposal responses and fit our correct team to the clients' particular needs. Plan logistics, manage our teams as we deliver our projects, and ensure that we keep the promises we made through procurement. Manage pre-construction efforts to ensure we are meeting our client’s scope, budget, and schedule. Joseph also seeks potential new employees to fill any open salaried positions and is working to develop an Internship Program within McCormack Construction.
