Rick Cartwright
Project Superintendent
Bio
Rick has been in the construction industry for 12+ years. He began his career as a residential painter at 17 years old while completing his senior year in High School. After graduating, he went to work for a General Contractor who specialized in erecting pre-engineered metal buildings in Southern Oregon. He honed his skills in PEMB construction and excavation, prepping, placing, and finishing structural concrete and flat work. After 4 years in the construction industry, Rick decided it was time to become his own boss and started his own business. He started an equipment painting company shortly after his 21st birthday. He quickly gained the skills needed to grow the business and maintain long-term working and personal relationships with clients of all kinds while still maintaining an atmosphere of collaboration and team building.

Rick successfully expanded the business from being the sole employee to a total of 8 employees. He had an opportunity to sell the business and move back into the construction industry 6 years after opening the doors, and he did. He then decided to take his knowledge and skills to a General Contractor based in Pittsburg, PA, as a traveling Superintendent. He worked all over the country building multi-million-dollar commercial retail stores, restaurants, K-12 facilities, wineries, and breweries. While perfecting his craft, Rick had huge success delivering projects to owners on time and under budget.
During his time off, Rick is a father to his son and daughter and is their biggest supporter at their sporting events. He has volunteered as a basketball coach and referee. He recently obtained his Part 107 Remote Pilot license and enjoys flying his drone any chance he gets.

At McCormack Construction, Rick is responsible for all sub-correspondence and scheduling. Quality control, budget forecasting, document control, and overall construction. He is extremely detail-oriented and has excellent communication skills. Rick has over 4 years of experience and knowledge in our construction management software PROCORE and can track nearly any item related to the construction and close out of a project. He have a track record of success in bringing projects to completion on time and under budget.
