McCormack Construction Awarded Contract for EOAF Housing Expansion

McCormack Construction has once again been selected to utilize its skills close to home. Our Pendleton-based firm has been chosen as the construction contractor for a new six-unit multi-family housing project developed by the Eastern Oregon Alcoholism Foundation (EOAF).

Located on Southwest Second Street in Pendleton, the project will create safe, affordable, and supportive housing for families committed to alcohol- and drug-free living. When complete, the new complex will feature two three-bedroom units and four two-bedroom units designed to keep families together while parents continue in treatment or recovery programs.

For McCormack Construction, the project represents more than building apartments; it’s about strengthening the community in which they live and work. Our deep roots in Pendleton and proven ability to deliver high-quality projects make us the trusted choice for this vital initiative.

EOAF Executive Director Bob Wright has emphasized the impact this housing will have, offering families affordable rent options while allowing parents to stay connected to their children as they continue treatment. The project is funded by grants from Oregon Housing and Community Services and the DHS Office of Mental Health and Addiction, reflecting a broader commitment to addressing critical community needs.

Construction is expected to begin this spring, with plans to welcome families into their new homes by November.

For McCormack Construction, it’s another example of how their work builds more than structures—it builds opportunity, stability, and a stronger future for Pendleton.
