Media Feature: McCormack Construction Delivers New Irrigon City Hall Under Budget

McCormack Construction Company is proud to announce the near completion of the new Irrigon City Hall, a modern facility designed to better serve the community for decades to come.

The project, highlighted in the East Oregonian on October 25, 2007, marks a major milestone for the City of Irrigon. Originally estimated at $834,000, the final cost came in $90,000 under budget, thanks to efficient project management and strategic adjustments made throughout construction.

City Manager Gerald Breazeale praised the outcome, noting that the building not only meets all modern codes and accessibility requirements but also provides improved energy efficiency and new features to support city operations.

“This new city hall will serve as the start of our civic center. We can be proud that the city of Irrigon was able to build this beautiful facility without borrowing any money,” Breazeale told the council.

The new city hall will also anchor the broader Greenway Project, a long-term community improvement initiative. Future plans include the addition of a new library, potential space for a chamber of commerce and police station, and enhancements to public recreation areas such as the city skate park.

At McCormack Construction, we are honored to have partnered with the City of Irrigon on this landmark project, delivering a safe, efficient, and cost-effective facility that strengthens the city’s civic foundation.
